Maury County VINELink Coverage

Leaving Maury County custody does not always mean release to the community. A TDOC transfer, extradition, USMS pickup, immigration detainer, or move to another county closes one agency's custody entry while another agency takes control.

VINELink does not replace release date, release authority, destination, detainer, or court fields in an official agency record. The Tennessee instructions reviewed for Maury do not require a stated universal PIN, fixed code length, or one confirmation sequence. Do not invent one. The local name is significant. The Maury County Sheriff's Office expressly labels its notification route Tennessee Statewide Automated Victim Information and Notification, or SAVIN. It links VINELink and publishes the state support number. This county-endorsed path is especially useful because Maury has no official recent-release roster, 24-hour list, or 72-hour list.
SAVIN supplies a way to follow one correct record rather than repeatedly search a nonexistent county feed. It does not turn VINELink into the Sheriff's certified release record. The county research found no official jail-by-jail feed specification, update cadence, or retention promise. Registration should therefore sit alongside, not replace, direct agency confirmation.

Verify a Maury VINELink Release
A reported release or out-of-custody status needs a second source. For a Maury County Jail record, call Booking at 931-375-8661 or use the official Corrections contact at 931-380-5733. Ask whether the person remains in Maury custody and whether the agency record identifies a community release or a transfer. When documentation matters, use the Maury public-records form to request the Sheriff's booking and release entry, including date, time, type or authority, destination, and holds or detainers if maintained and open.
If the person entered state felony custody, check TDOC FOIL. Search by TOMIS or SID when known, or by name with care. Custody Outside Maury VINELink
VINELink is not the general federal release search. A person sentenced to federal Bureau of Prisons custody is checked through the BOP Inmate Locator, where a former inmate may show a released status and date. “Not in BOP custody” does not prove freedom because BOP custody may have ended, never applied, or given way to another authority.
